The Story of Hilas.
Rooted in History, Inspired by Nature
Located at the foothills of Akdağ, Hamamayağı Thermal Springs have been known for centuries as one of the region’s most valuable natural treasures. Referred to as the “Water of Youth” by Evliya Çelebi in his renowned Seyahatname (Book of Travels), this historic thermal heritage was transformed into a modern hospitality experience through the shared vision of local entrepreneurs from Ladik.
Created with the aim of preserving the region’s values and passing them on to future generations, Hilas Thermal Resort & Spa opened its doors to guests in 2018. Named after Hilas, the water fairy of mythology, the resort has brought new life to Hamamayağı’s deep-rooted thermal tradition with its healing thermal waters, nature-integrated setting, comfortable rooms, private family baths, and spacious social areas.
With the opening of its
aquapark in 2020, Hilas evolved into a year-round holiday destination where thermal relaxation meets family entertainment. Today, Hilas continues to offer memorable moments to guests of all ages in
Ladik, Samsun, bringing together time-honoured traditions, authentic Turkish hospitality, and modern comfort.
